How to point a domain to hosting (our NS)

2013-05-04

For a domain to work on our hosting, set our name servers (NS) in your domain registrar's panel:

ns1.globalnameservers.net
ns2.globalnameservers.org

For virtual and dedicated servers, order the "DNS hosting" service in billing, add the domain to it and set the same NS at the registrar.

For shared hosting, the domain's DNS records are edited in the control panel: "Main" -> "DNS zones".

How to point a domain to hosting (our NS)

How long it takes

An NS change takes from 10 minutes to 24 hours (sometimes up to 72 hours), depending on the internet provider. DNS updates happen between the registrar and the providers' DNS servers and do not depend on the hosting. If DNS does not update, contact your registrar.

If you do not want to change NS

If you do not want to change NS (for example, you use Cloudflare), create A records for the domain and www at your DNS provider, pointing to your site's IP (shown in "WWW domains" -> site -> "IP addresses").
